Course description:

(2.5K) Starting on the Newry promenade, participants make their way to the furthest roundabout, turn left along the top road and continue to run until the entrance of the Breakwater and turn right, continue for a few meters then turn right again taking the bottom road past the Boathouse and bearing left to the finish opposite the Mckenzie.

(5K) The same as the 2.5K but instead of turning right at the entrance of the Breakwater, continue along the road towards the Breakwater country park and you will be directed by a Marshal to make a U turn. Continue along the path to the Breakwater entrance where you’re to turn left, heading towards the start of the Breakwater. A marshal will direct you to make your way to the bottom road from the Breakwater to the finish opposite the Mckenzie pier.

Colour powder:
There will be 3 colour stations along the 5K course and 100g bags of colour powder for £1.00 a bag available to purchase at registration to throw at one another if you wish!

The coloured powder is 99% corn starch and 1% food colouring so no nasty chemicals.

It is recommended you wear eye protection such as sun glasses as a precaution. There will be limited amount of sunglasses for sale at registration.

It may only be coloured cornstarch, but the powder can still stain (more-so if powder comes into contact with moisture) so please do not wear anything that you’ll be upset to lose. While the coloured powder may come out in the wash, there’s a chance it won’t depending on how much it’s set. Plan on giving yourself a good scrub in the shower once it’s over, and don’t be surprised if it takes a few washings to get rid of all the colour — especially if you have blonde hair!
